Actress Resumes

If you are an actress you will of course understand the importance of performance in everything. Your Actress Resume and cover letter is no different. You really need to sell your unique talents through the experience you have and the great reviews you have received.

Any application for a role should start with an Actress cover letter. This should obviously state that you would like to be considered for the role, but it must also give reasons why you are suitable for the role. You don’t want to give a full run down of your acting career to date in your Actress cover letter, so perhaps mention roles which are similar to the role for which you are applying, and briefly mention any awards you have won, or qualifications that you may have.

Start your Actress resume with an objective statement. This statement should show your ambition in the acting industry, and should indicate a desire for success. Try to make sure that your objective ties in with the role for which you are applying.

The next section should effectively be a discography. This should include all of the roles you have ever performed. You can break this down into different genres of work, such as film, television, adverts and voice over work. Try to run this in reverse order starting with your most recent role.

Your Actress Resume must have a section detailing any qualifications regarding acting. You may have been to acting or drama school, and if so you will want to go into some detail about the individual modules that were involved in obtaining your qualification. Feel free to also talk about your general education, but this should simply be a list of what you have done, rather than a detailed account.

The following section of your Actress Resume should focus on the highlights of your career. This can be awards that you have won, great reviews that have been written and published regarding your performances, and anything you have worked in which has had large viewing audiences. More than likely you will already have records of your top achievements, so be sure to include them in your resume.

The most important thread that you need running through your Actress Resume is a success story. You need to show career progression if you can, and through your varied career you should also hopefully be able to show a flexible approach to your work and the ability to perform in many different ways.
