Attendant Resumes
Being an attendant can mean many different things, but the one thing that all of the attendant positions have in common is that they all need a professionally put together application. If you are hoping to land an attendant job, then you need to realise that you are going to have to produce a great resume. Attendant jobs often do not require too many qualifications, so the quality of your application form is really going to matter, because there could be a lot of competition for jobs.
You should always start an application for any job with a cover letter, and attendant jobs are no different. Start your Attendant cover letter by stating that you would like to apply for the position, and give some reasons why you think that you would be a good applicant. Try not to replicate any of the information that is going to go into your resume, but mention your qualifications and experience briefly. Finish the letter by saying again that you would like to be considered for the role, and leave contact details at the foot of the page.
Once you have finished your Attendant cover letter it is time to tackle your Attendant Resume. This resume needs to tell the reader everything about your previous history, your qualifications and what you want to get out of your career. Start things off with an objective statement.
Your objective should be a simple statement which declares how you hope to progress in this industry. Make sure that your wishes are achievable within the company to which you are applying, or they may think you unsuitable for a role with them.
The next section of your Attendant Resume should include all of your working history, at least covering the last five or ten years. Start off with your most recent job, and work backwards from there. Be sure to go into detail about any positions that you have held which are relevant to the job that you are going for, and remember to really try to sell yourself. Don’t be afraid to highlight occasions where you felt that you offered work which was above and beyond the call of duty.
Follow this with a section about your qualifications. Your Attendant Resume needs to have quite a comprehensive list of your qualifications, so don’t be afraid to dip back into what you achieved in high school. Expands on any qualifications which you feel are particularly relevant to the job at hand, and be sure to highlight good grades.
The last section is for anything that you have not been able to fit into the other sections, but which you feel will add something to your application. It can be a sentence explaining your belief in good customer service, or a list of certificates such as health and safety or first aid.
