Baker Resumes

As a baker you will be well aware that both qualifications and experience count when it comes to landing a new job. On top of that you will need to be confident, willing to sometimes work difficult hours, and be able to produce a great Baker Resume and cover letter to land yourself the position in the first place!

You should start off your application with a Baker cover letter. This cover letter needs to show that you would like to apply for the job, but it also needs to extol your virtues, and show that you are suitable for the job. Try to show that you have both the qualifications and the experience needed to be considered for the role, and direct the reader to your Baker Resume.

With your Baker cover letter finished, it is time to get on with the main part of your job application. Your Baker Resume should always start off with an objective which matches the job description of the job which you are applying for. Make sure you read this thoroughly and show yourself to be looking for exactly this sort of work.

Follow this section with some information about your skills in the industry. Here you can indicate how many years experience you have as a baker, explain the different areas of baking you have worked in and indicate what sort of bakery equipment you are used to working with. Again, you should pay special attention to the job description and make sure you put all of your skills which are mentioned in the job description.

The next section of your Bakery Resume should be your professional experience. Here you should list your working experience in reverse order, starting off with your current job. Make sure you expand on all of the positions you have held, and discuss what skills were needed for each role. You should look to show some career progression, so if you started out as a junior baker, moved onto become a Commis baker, and eventually became head bakery chef, then this needs to be illustrated in this section.

The following section of your Baker Resume should be your formal education. If you have had any on the job training, then this should be at the top of the list, but for everything else you should run in reverse order. Again, you should go into detail about each different qualification you have when it is related to bakery. Explain which areas of your training lead you to become the successful baker that you are, highlighting any areas in which you excelled. You can also use this section of your Baker Resume to add any other certificates or qualifications which you feel will aid your application.
