Coordinator Resumes

As a coordinator, a hugely important skill for you to have is organisation. You need to be highly organised and on the ball to do any sort of coordinators job, so to hand in an application that doesn’t appear to be well organised and to follow a set pattern could be disastrous for your chances of landing the job. For this reason it is important that you follow this formula for putting together your Coordinator Resume and cover letter.

You should always start off your application with a Coordinator cover letter. This should be a well laid out letter, which ticks all the right boxes. State the job title, indicate that you would like to be considered for the post, give some very brief reasons why you would be a good choice for the position, and indicate once more how pleased you would be to be given consideration for the role. Be sure to leave a full list of contact details including your full address, your telephone number and your Email address.

Once your Coordinator cover letter is complete, you can make a start on your Resume. A Coordinator Resume must be well laid out, and without error in its entirety. Make sure that you read it and re read it as much as you can to avoid any sloppy errors.

Start the Coordinator Resume with a positive objective statement. This statement should lay out some sort of career plan, which tallies well with the company that you are applying to. Try to make sure that this statement is one, or at most two short sentences long.

The next section of your Coordinator Resume should focus on your work history. Make sure you stat off with your most recent or current position, and be sure to give plenty of detail about the most recent jobs you have held. Try to explain what all of your duties were in each job, and show where you feel that you have held duties which are relevant to the position you are applying for now. You don’t realistically need to go back more than the last ten years, but be sure not to leave any gaps in the resume because this can look bad.

The following section of the Coordinator Resume should show your qualifications and training history. This section should start with your most recent qualifications, although any on the job training qualifications or training courses you have attended should go at the bottom of this list. Try to expand on the relevant qualifications and courses, explaining what aspects you enjoyed, in what areas you excelled in, and be sure to draw attention to any very good marks you may have received.

Finish off your resume with a nice ‘About me’, section! Try to paint a nice picture of yourself as an easy going, sociable person who is willing to knuckle down where necessary. You will be expected to get on with all sorts of people during your working day, so any examples you can show that indicate you are a good team player will work well. If there are any associations or clubs that you are a member of, then be sure to mention them.

Good luck with the application, and remember to check your work through thoroughly.
