Distributor Resumes

If you have a history of working as a Distributor then you will know that positions can be highly sought after. To be a distributer you need to have a great Distributor Resume and cover letter.

You should start things off with a Distributor cover letter. You can mention your working experience and perhaps any other sales experience you have, but try to limit the amount of information you give here, because you will be giving more information in your Distributor Resume.

Once the Distributor cover letter is completed you can move onto your resume. The resume should start with an objective statement. This should explain what sort of position you are looking for, and this should closely match the job description for the position you are applying for. You should mention an ambition to find a company which matches your desire to excel in the area of sales and distribution, and that you would like to find accompany which can help you to realise your desire to use your selling and communication expertise in order to increase sales and profit margins.

The next section of your Distributor Resume should focus on the skills you have developed as a distributor. You should mention here your years of experience in the role, your ability to organise your own day and plan your visits effectively, you should mention an ability to persuade and the skill to get on with many different people. You should indicate that you are willing and able to cold call, both on the telephone and door to door, and you should also that you are well organised, trustworthy, hardworking and computer literate.

The following section should focus on your work experience to date. List previous jobs in reverse order and make sure you explain what you duties were in each position. You should be looking to highlight things such as having had to describe and demonstrate products, prepare appointments with potential clients, implement new sales techniques and pitches, and explain whether or not you were able to increase sales or profit margins in any of your previous positions.

The final section of your Distributor Resume should be about your qualifications. There are no specific qualifications for a role such as this, so you can obviously list all of your qualifications, starting with your most recent. If you have any certificates which may relate to this sort of role, such as negotiation practices or sales courses you might have attended.
