Educator Resumes
Whatever sort of Educator you are, it is certain that you will need a very detailed Educator Resume and cover letter. People working in education always need qualifications and experience to land the decent roles and you will have to demonstrate this in any application.
You should start off an application with an Educator cover letter. Here you will be expected to apply for the position formally, but you will also be expected to provide some reasons as to why you should be considered for the role. This might well be a small reference to your degree classification, or it might reference your past working experiences, but remember that you will be discussing both topics at length in your Educator Resume, so try to not go into too much detail about these.
With your Educator cover letter out of the way it will be time for you to concentrate on your Educator Resume. This should start with an objective. This should show what sort of position you are hoping to attain, and you should be sure to read the job description carefully before writing this. You can say that you are looking for a role which would suit an experienced educator with a particular skill in teaching school age students a variety of subjects. This is obviously interchangeable depending on what sort of educator role you are applying for, but the point is you need to highlight what you are good at in this section.
The following section of your Educator Resume should be about your key skills. Here you can indicate how many years experience you have in the education field and go on to explain what your strong points are. You could mention your ability to organise your teaching structure to the current curriculum, your knowledge of the key areas of learning for different age groups, your ability to teach a range of subjects at different age groups and your understanding of protocol within many different educational facilities.
The next section of your Educator Resume will focus on your work experience. Here you should list all of your relevant positions, and explain your duties in each one. You might like to explain for example, that you were expected to look after a group of students between the ages of fourteen and fifteen and were required to teach them several different subjects. You should also indicate what you did in terms of marking and also explain about any management duties attached to the role such as organising class planners for other teachers.
The final section of your Educator Resume will focus on qualifications. You should obviously start with your degree or equivalent, and you should explain how this has aided you in your career so far. Go into detail about the degree if you can. You should also mention any specific teacher training that you have received and again go into detail about the course. Anything like a certificate for first aid will also help your application.
