Helper Resumes

If you are looking for a helper position, much will depend on what sort of helper role you are looking for, but many helper positions are more about the experience you have built up rather than the qualifications you have for the position. Either way, whatever type of helper position you are looking for, it is crucial that you manage to produce a compelling Helper Resume and cover letter in order to give yourself the best chance of being considered for the role.

You should start off any application with a Helper cover letter. This will allow you to apply for the position advertised, and it is also a good opportunity for you to mention some good points about yourself. You could say that you are hoping to find a position as a helper which will give you the opportunity to continue learning the ropes in the kitchen with the possibility for progression to a trainee chef role. Obviously this is the sort of answer you might give if you are applying for a kitchen helper position, but you can adapt this sort of sentence to whatever sort of helper position you are applying for.

The next section of your Helper Resume should focus on your skills. Draw up a summary of these skills. Start off by mentioning how long you have been working as a helper, and then start to list your top skills. This should be things like food preparation and cleaning if you are a kitchen helper, or being able to understand the rudimentary operation of a road going vehicle and have knowledge of the assembly of car parts if you are a mechanic helper. You obviously need to adapt this section to fit whatever sort of helper you are, but make sure you provide plenty of examples as to how you excel in your role.

The following section of your Helper Resume should focus on your professional experience. There is a strong chance that if you are working as a helper you may not have had too many positions in the past, but list all that you have. Make sure you expand on each role that you have worked in, explaining your duties in each post. As a kitchen helper you will be expected to put things like cleaning down the kitchen, observing the chefs at work and fetching ingredients for the chefs. Again, you will obviously have to adapt this section to fit whatever sort of helper you are.

The final section of your Helper Resume should be about your qualifications. There are no specific qualifications which will make you ideal for this role, but you should try to list all that you have completed. You can start with your high school diploma, and if you are fortunate to have any qualifications which are of a higher level than this then be sure to list them. Any certificates that you have gained in the workplace can also be mentioned.
