Housekeeper Resumes
As a professional Housekeeper you will no doubt understand that you have to do your job to the letter at all times in order to provide a good service, and the same can be said for how you put any job application together. You need to make sure that your Housekeeper Resume and cover letter is written and completed to the very best of your ability in order for you to stand a chance of landing the best roles available.
The first thing to do is to write a convincing Housekeeper cover letter. This cover letter should indicate that you want to apply for the position advertised, and it should also give a couple of reasons why you think that you should be considered for the post. You should mention your experience and training, but don’t go into too much detail because you will be doing so in your Housekeeper Resume.
Once your Housekeeper cover letter is completed you can move on to your Housekeeper Resume. This should star with an objective statement which explains what sort of job you are looking for. You should make sure that you follow the job description closely though, because you don’t want to indicate that you are looking for a job which does not match the job description.
The next section of your Housekeeper Resume should focus on your skills. Mention how many years you have been working as a housekeeper, and then list several of your core skills in the role. These can be things like your understanding of cleaning products suitable for custodial work, your ability to pay close attention to detail, your ability to organise other workers and your skill in communicating with other work colleagues.
The following section of your Housekeeper Resume should be about your working experience. You should list all of your previous positions in reverse order and try to expand on each position, explaining what you were expected to do on a daily basis in each job. As a Housekeeper you will be looking to mention things like supervising the work of others, obtaining lists of vacant rooms and creating rota’s for the rooms to be cleaned, assigning duties to other members of staff, recording data and keeping a work diary which has up and coming information regarding room cleaning rosters.
The final section of your Housekeeper Resume should focus on your qualifications. It is not absolutely necessary for you to have a degree or similar qualification but of course it can help. Ideally you will have a degree or an associate degree in hospitality or some sort or management qualification, but if not then you can list your general qualifications. Try to focus on anything relevant, and always list the relevant qualifications first. You can also include any relevant certificates you have been awarded throughout your working life such as health and safety or first aid certificates.
