How A Resume Is Supposed To Look
When someone asks the question as to what a resume should look like, there are a number of potential answers-since there are a number of resume formats, types, and professions to characterize each. This said, to have a working idea of what a general resume should look like; we will review the most basic format, and the parts that most employers expect in a standard resume. This is not to say that you should not customize your own resume according to your qualifications and industry-as you should-if you want to get notice and win the interview.
Aside from the different customized industries and professions that require various extras in the resume format, there are four basic formats for a resume. Depending on which you choose, will determine what aspects you include, and how you arrange them. This said, there are some fundamentals that are included in most all resumes. These are: skills, career history, objective, education, and achievements. Heres an example of what the standard entry level resume looks like:
