Ad Operations Manager Job Description
The job of an Ad Operations Manager involves developing a campaign plan and leading junior staff in trafficking company or account ads across relevant platforms. The managers will be responsible for all ongoing ad campaign management, monitoring and reporting.
Education/Experience Requirements for the job of an Ad Operations Manager: A successful candidate must possess 4-year Bachelor Arts or Science degree and at least 2 years experience in Ad Ops, Ad Campaign management, or any relevant fields. Sales and marketing experience is an advantage, as well as hands-on experience in working with online ad operations.
Skills of an Ad Operations Manager include but are not limited to: Strong understanding of HTML, tag coding, rich media web products or providers, online ad serving and best practices, proficiency in computer applications such as Outlook, MS Word, Excel and Power Point; excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proven skills in project management. Ad Operations managers should also be strategic, analytical, detail-oriented, creative, strategic and be able to work well with a team or independently.
Specific work elements of the job as an Ad Operations Manager include but are not limited to: Setting up, modifying and managing ad serving systems, overseeing the scheduling, production and implementation of online ad campaigns, advising with internal departments regarding inventory, campaign performance and other advertising reports, liaising with sales, marketing and production teams about all aspects involved in delivery of campaigns; as well as analyzing data and making changes to increase success rates of future ad campaigns, among others.
