Administrative Sales Manager Job Description



An administrative sales manager is responsible for directing distribution of products or movement of services to customers. His/her job is to coordinate sales distribution by analyzing sales quotas, goals and territories; assist in training sales representatives and analyze sales statistics to determine inventory requirements and sales potential; and monitor the needs and preferences of customers.

Education/Experience Requirements for the job of an administrative sales manager: A successful candidate must have a MBA with relevant experience in the field. Large companies prefer candidates with a Master of Business Administration and 2+ years of experience.

Skills of an administrative sales manager clerk include but are not limited to: superb oral and written communication skills; excellence in applying mathematics, negotiation and persuasion skills needed in closing sales; application of advanced computing; knowledge of advanced principles related to sales, marketing, administration, management and customer service.

Specific work elements of the job as an administrative sales manager include but are not limited to: resolving customer complaints related to service or sales; determine discount rates and price increase/decrease; direct activities related to sales of products or services; prepare budgets; approve budget expenditures; communicate with other departments in planning advertising strategies; assess marketing potential of new products/services or locations and analyze statistics within a given time frame.
