Administrative Service Manager Job Description
The job of an Administrative Service Manager involves overseeing day-to-day activities of all clerical personnel in a company or department. He/she is responsible for interviewing, hiring and training people to handle duties such as answering phones, filing invoices, typing reports, light bookkeeping and other clerical tasks.
Education/Experience Requirements for the job of an Administrative Service Manager: A successful candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in administration and similar fields, with an emphasis on majors such as finance, math, business and communications. Some companies promote general office employees to the administrative service manager position, while other companies require at least 1 year experience in a managerial position.
Skills of an Administrative Service Manager include but are not limited to: Effective motivational, leadership and delegation skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, advanced knowledge in computer programs and other office equipments, solid interpersonal skills, and proven decision-making skills needed in resource allocation. He/she must be professional, analytical, motivated and highly organized.
