Education/Experience Requirements for the job of an Advertising Marketing Manager: A successful candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in marketing or advertising, at least 2 years experience in both fields and at least 1 year experience as an advertising/marketing manager. Since advertising marketing managers will handle both departments, he should be highly skilled in all aspects of the marketing and advertising departments.

Specific work elements of the job as an Advertising Marketing Manager include but are not limited to: Managing staff and developing overall advertising and marketing plan; deciding the budget and medium type to reach target audience; coordinating with sales department to achieve company goals; generating new advertising sales and maintaining existing clients; working with clients and suppliers throughout the production of ad designs; maintaining book-keeping and in-depth reports about billings and other expenditures used in marketing campaigns; and attending weekly staff meetings, among others.
