1. Learn about software development. This can be done in a number of ways. 2. Be passionate. In an industry which is changing faster than any other, you need to be passionate and care about the job enough to keep up with the times. Try to show your passion with a number of software applications that you have created off your own back in your spare time.

Now that you have learned at least some of the art to software, and you have got to grips with what is at its core, it’s about time you got a piece of paper telling the world that you can do this stuff! 4. Understand what people want. As I said before, people want to see passion, but they of course want you to be passionate about the things that they themselves are passionate about! You should demonstrate a passion for their market niche, and prove this through your qualifications and your work at home, and you are going to be halfway towards a job in software!
