1. Get qualified. Firstly you will need your High School Diploma, and on top of that it is essential that you complete a nursing course. You can choose between a two year associates course, or a four year baccalaureate course. Obviously the latter will give you a better qualification, but the two year course is adequate to get you into the profession.

2. Decide what sort of position you want. There is currently a shortage of Nursing jobs at the moment, so finding vacancies should not be a problem. However, you will need to decide what sort of area of nursing you want to enter into.
