ASE Mechanic Responsibilities and Duties

Perform vehicle inspection to identify and repair mechanical problems.
Maintain computerized documentation of mechanical problems and repair details.
Maintain a database of vehicles status before and after repair.
Perform preventative and routine maintenance work for vehicles that include oil changes, parts replacement and tire changes.
Perform state inspection for new vehicles.
Perform warranty repairs according to recall notices and technical service report.
Identify and perform specific repairs including brake, hydraulic, fuel ignition, air conditioning and electrical repairs.
Explain technical diagnoses and repair work to employees and customers.
Attend workshops and trainings to gain knowledge on new developments in automotive field.
Inform store manager about the completed and outstanding mechanical problems.
Assist in maintaining the repair facility neat, safe and organized.
