If you have a great background in the sciences and have studied for a degree in a chemistry field then a Chemical engineer job could be the one for you. In this role your main responsibilities will be to work in the production of chemicals using the laws of chemistry. Generally you will be working with the findings of chemists and trying to develop and construct equipment that can reproduce the products that have been developed by chemists. It is important that you also have a good understanding or a background in mechanical and electrical engineering. It is of course ok for you to specialise in one particular area, such as pollution control or oxidation.
