Keeper Resumes
As a keeper you will be used to responsibility and tasking care to follow the correct procedures, and you will need to follow this to the tee if you want to create a great Keeper Resume and cover letter.
You should start your application with a Keeper Resume. This should first of all indicate that you would like to apply for the job, and secondly it should show why you think that you should be considered as being a good candidate worthy of interview. You can mention your previous experience and also your qualifications but try to remember not to go into too much depth about this. Remember that you need to also talk about this in your Keeper Resume and you don’t want to be creating duplicate content.
Once you have completed your Keeper cover letter you should move on to your resume. This should start with an objective, which will be a simple sentence which will show what sort of work you are looking for. You should make sure that you follow the job description here, making sure that you are spelling out the sort of job that is on offer.
The next section of your Keeper Resume should be a summary of your main skills in the job. Start off by saying how many years experience you have built up, and then list all of your main attributes in the job. You should mention your understanding of the natural habitat of a wide range of animals, you should also mention your ability to remain alert at all times. You can mention your knowledge of basic animal veterinarian practices and you should also mention your understanding of the operation of large machinery which is commonly found in zoos.
The following section of your Keeper Resume should be about your professional experience. In this section you need to go through your previous jobs starting with your most recent and working back. Try to explain what your main duties were in each position. You should be mentioning things like having to provide maintenance to the cages and animal quarters. Observing the animal quarters and making sure that there were no security breaches, explain your duty to observe the animals and to look out for any unusual behaviour and you should also mention if you were ever required to treat any injured or unwell animals. You can also discuss your ability to go inside the cages with the animals and feed them on a routine basis.
The final section of your Keeper Resume should be about your qualifications. To land a decent keeper job you really need to have a degree in Zoology or something very closely related. It is possible to make it to this position by working your way up, but it is very difficult to do. You should also mention any other qualifications you have such as health and safety certificates.
