Ledger Resumes
Ledgers are normally people who are extremely well organised and who are able to focus well on the job at hand. In order to be able to land a great position as a Ledger, you need to apply these principles to your Ledger Resume and cover letter. A good application will stand you in good stead in this very competitive industry.
You should start off your application with a Ledger cover letter. This letter is there for you to formally apply for the job and for you to give some reasons why you should be considered for the position. You can mention previous working experience or your qualifications, but beware. Explain what your day to day duties were and how you helped your workplace to become better. You can talk about things like your general duties in the accounts department. You may have at some points helped to facilitate new systems of accounting which should be mentioned too. You can talk about your requirement to prepare journal entries relating to inventory usage variances, shipping accruals and variance close outs.
The final section of your Ledger Resume should focus on your qualifications. It will be imperative that you have some sort of formal training for the post, and this would normally be a minimum of a degree in accountancy or a related subject. It is possible to work your way up through the ranks of a company to become a Ledger, but it is very difficult. It would certainly be a quicker process to go out and get the degree you need in order to land the better jobs.
