Mover Resumes
To be a mover you need to be strong, have a great work ethic and take pride in your work. It is a position that can pay quite well, and as such, competition can be fierce when applying for jobs. Because of this it is important for you to put together an excellent Mover Resume and cover letter.
You should start off your application with a Mover cover letter. This letter should indicate to the reader that you would like to be considered for the position, and it should also give some reasons why you think you should be considered. You could mention your previous experience as a mover, but make sure that you only mention this in passing. You will be talking about it in more detail within your Mover Resume.
Once you have finished your Mover cover letter you need to get started with your Mover Resume. A good way to start this is with a strong objective statement. This should be a simple sentence explaining what sort of position you are looking for but you should make sure that you are describing a job which is similar to the one for which you are applying. To do this accurately you should use the job description.
The next section of your Mover Resume should focus on your core skills in the job. Here you should be mentioning things like your ability to plan your work, an ability to work quickly and efficiently in a busy storage room, and your ability to get on with other workers.
The following section of your Mover Resume should be about your previous professional working experience. You should list all of your previous positions, and explain what you did in each position. You would hope to mention things like experience of stacking various types of materials in a sensible fashion, planning the utilisation of the store room to best make use of space, knowledge of the function of various lifting machines in the store room such as mini fork lift truck, and having had to work in teams in the past.
The final section of your Mover Resume will be about your qualifications. There are no specific qualifications for this position, but there are plenty of certificates which will make you a more attractive proposition for many employers. A fork lift licence, for instance, would be beneficial, as would a health and safety certificate. Make sure that you list all of your education too, because seeing that you have a well rounded education will make any storage managers more inclined to take you on.
