Administrative Assistant (Department Of Health)An Administrative Assistant performs several administrative duties. An Administrative Assistant in the department of health, under the supervision of the health officer assists the director and administrative staff. The administrative assistant coordinates the office services, functions of the administrative staff and provides administrative and secretarial assistance. He/she supervises support staff in administration and the medical examiners in office tasks.
Within a client service oriented environment, the administrative assistant will provide reception, clerical and administrative support for all services offered through the health, safety and wellness centre. Major responsibilities include maintaining a dynamic schedule for the manager, identifying priorities as required, organizing and scheduling meetings as required including contacting participants, room bookings and making other necessary arrangements and completing special assignments/projects as assigned by the Manager.
