Airforce Resumes

If you are looking for a position within the Air Force then it is likely that you have already worked in a position for either the Air Force or similar military position. It is important that you very carefully document your previous experience within the military as checks on this sort of thing are likely to be very vigilant. It is also important that you show your prospective employer the respect of submitting a Air Force cover letter alongside your Resume.

Start your Air Force cover letter by signalling which position you would like to apply for. You should also indicate how you came to be aware of the positions availability. You should also mention why you would like to be considered for this post. This needs careful consideration , because you don’t want anyone to think that you haven’t enjoyed your current position within the armed forces, or they might think that you are not suited to the career as a whole. Instead, try to find a positive aspect to the role you are looking to enter into, and focus on this as your reason for wanting to change jobs.

You also need to spend a brief amount of time explaining why you think you would be the ideal candidate for the post. Try not to use too much information that will be going in to your Air Force Resume, but briefly touch upon some of your past experiences and training that you think may help your application.

Finalise your cover letter by asking again to be considered for the post and by thanking the reader for their consideration.

Your Air Force resume should start off with a qualifications summary. This should mention how many years service you have under your belt, and doing what. You can also give some information of what you believe your core skills to be. Make sure that if you are coming from a slightly different job position that you highlight in what way these skills are transferable to the position for which you are applying.

The next section should be a pre cursor to your Professional experience – you should have a small section dedicated to your accomplishments. This can be achievements in your last role which may include the organisation of personnel, any training or support you have carried out, any work you have carried out in information systems – basically anything you can think of from your last position that you feel was above and beyond the call of duty.

The next section of your Air Force resume should be your professional experience. This should start with your most recent or current position and work backwards from there. You should chronicle your rise through the ranks if at all possible and highlight your duties under each job title you have held.

The last section of your Air Force Resume should be your Education section. Here you will list your Educational achievements from your most recent back to High School. Again you should try to expand on the basic grades and dates, and you should also mention any qualifications you have received whilst working for the armed forces.
