Aerospace EngineerAerospace engineering deals with the design, construction and science of aircraft and spacecraft. It is divided into two major and overlapping branches, aeronautical engineering and astronautical engineering. Aeronautical engineering deals with craft that stay within Earth's atmosphere, and the astronautical engineering deals with craft that operate outside of Earth's atmosphere. "Aeronautical" was the original term, the broader "aerospace" has replaced it in usage, as flight technology advanced to include craft operating in outer space.
This field deals with the development of new technology in the field of aviation, space exploration and defense systems. Aerospace engineers require manual, technical as well as mechanical aptitude. He/she may work in areas like design, development and maintenance as well as in the managerial and teaching posts in institutes. They find a very good demand in airlines, aircraft manufacturing units, air turbine production plants, design, development programs for the aviation industry.
