As an Interior Designer you will be creative, artistic and have a great eye for detail. These qualities must be reflected through your Interior Design Resume so you must make sure that your Resume has a graphical them running through it, and you have to guard against any type of complacency in terms of grammar and spelling. If it looks like you have rushed off your Resume, then it is doubtable that any employer will trust you with his Interior Design needs.

Start off your Interior Design Resume with a cover letter. Your cover letter acts as an introduction to your Resume so it is important not to have too much duplication.

Your Interior Design Cover letter should start with your declaration that you would like to be considered for the position advertised. You should also mention where you saw the position advertised as well as explaining why you would like to work for this particular company. This may require a little bit of research on your behalf in order for you to be able to talk about the company. Remember that you are looking to join this company so it only makes sense that you should be impressed with their previous work. Try to talk about their work in a positive manner and find something that they do which is what attracted you to the position in the first place.

The next section of your cover letter is an opportunity to explain why you are the right person for the job. You can mention your experience and qualifications in this section but remember that some of this ground will be covered in your Interior Design Resume so try not to go into too much detail.

Finish off your cover letter with a sentence declaring your interest in being considered for the role and give a strong call to action for your employer in order for them to contact you about attending interview.

Your Interior Design Resume should start with an objective. This should be an indication of the sort of position you are looking for and this statement should show your ambitions match that of your prospective employers.
