Manufacturing Resumes

Your Manufacturing cover letter should be written in a formal manner befitting of any professional applying for a job. Don’t fall into the trap of thinking that just because you are applying for a technical position, you don’t have to try too hard with your writing skills. Wrong! Your Manufacturing cover letter is going to be your prospective employer’s first impression of you and you need to make sure you stand out from the crowd.

Start off by explaining why you are writing this letter. Mention what the precise job is that you are applying for, the name of the company, and where the job was advertised. The next paragraph can be used to sell yourself. This is your chance to shine and you cannot sing your own praises too highly. Explain a little about your experience, but don’t give too much information on this subject – you can go into greater detail in your Manufacturing Resume. Many Manufacturing companies are on the lookout for staff that can be flexible and take on a variety of shifts. Make sure that you can be flexible, and tell them this! Mention any certificates you hold, which might include Welding, or particular machine operation. If there have been any particular accomplishments in your previous work then mention them here!

Finalise your Manufacturing cover letter by thanking the reader. Make sure that you actually request an interview and leave all of your contact details.

Moving onto your Manufacturing Resume and this is where you can go to town on the detail of your successful career to date.

Start your Manufacturing Resume with a very specific Objective. Anything too vague or all encompassing could easily be overlooked. You want your resume to look like you were made for this job, so showing yourself as a Jack of all trades is not going to do you any favours.

The first main section of your Manufacturing Resume should have all of your formal education. This should be listed from your most recent qualifications, and it should track back through your education, back to high school. Be sure to highlight and expand on anything that is relevant to this application.

The next section of your Resume should focus on your job work experience. Again this should start with your most recent position, and this time you should allow more detail and more information for the most recent position, and work back giving a little less information the further back the position was. You should be looking to indicate a very strong and varied skill set for your most recent position so take the time to think about all of your duties in that position and make sure to list them all.

You should complete you Manufacturing Resume by listing all accomplishments and, qualification s and certificates in organisations, clubs and in school, and by mentioning any other skills or experience you have that has not been covered earlier on in the resume.

Good luck with the job hunt – stick to these recommendations and you shouldn’t go too far wrong!
