Health NurseA health nurse is a healthcare professional who is responsible for treatment, safety, and recovery of acutely or chronically ill individuals. Health Nurse performs a wide range of clinical and non-clinical functions necessary to the delivery of health care, and may also be involved in medical and nursing research. Health Nurses are the primary point of contact between the patient and the world of health care, both at the bedside and in out-patient settings.
Health Nurse performs frequent patient evaluations, including monitoring and tracking vital signs, performing procedures such as IV placement, phlebotomy, and administering medications. Home health nurse provides periodic services to patients at home. After assessing patients' home environments, they care for and instruct patients and their families. Home health nurse cares for a broad range of patients, such as those recovering from illnesses and accidents, cancer, and childbirth. They must be able to work independently, and may supervise home health aides.
