Operating Room Nurse should be caring and empathetic, and also capable of making critical decisions based on available information about the patient. The responsibilities of the nurse in the operating room includes selecting and handling instruments and supplies used for the operation; managing the overall nursing care in the operating room and helping to maintain a safe, comfortable environment and delivering direct surgical care by assisting the surgeon in controlling bleeding, providing wound exposure, and suturing during the actual procedure.
