Recruiter Resumes

When putting together your Recruiter Resume bear in mind that the person who will be reading your application will more than likely be an absolute expert in their field. Anyone who recruits recruiters must be pretty well qualified! With this in mind you cannot afford to hand in a shoddy Recruiter Resume and cover letter. Use this article as a guide to putting together the best possible Recruiter cover letter and Resume.

Start off work first on your Recruiter cover letter. This document should carry a certain amount of information yet be short enough to easily fit on one page. You need one sentence explaining which position you wish to apply for and where you saw the advert, you should have one or two sentences explaining why you believe yourself to be suitable for the role, (and this is where you can give some brief information about your qualifications and experience) and you need another sentence to round off the letter which should thank the reader, and carry a strong call to action designed to tempt the employer to contact you for interview. Once you have ticked all of these boxes, you should read through and check and check again for any grammatical mistakes. Bear in mind what you would be looking for from a recruiters point of view, and make sure you have included it! Make sure you also leave your name, address, and contact details for your prospective employer.

Once you move onto your Recruiter Resume you should again consider what you would hope to see if you yourself were reading through someone’s resume. You would be looking for suitability, work ethic, passion, experience and intelligence. Keep this check list in mind throughout the process.

Start your Recruiter Resume with your name and contact details and then follow this with a clear objective. This should reflect the job description so it is a good idea to read through this a few times before writing your objective.

Once you have come up with a great objective you should move onto your Work experience. Again, bear in mind what you would be looking for yourself and make sure to keep things simple and easily readable. Work in reverse chronological order and keep in mind not to delve into too much information about positions which aren’t relevant. Keep remembering to put yourself in your prospective employer’s position and think what you would want to see from a Recruiter Resume.

The next section should be focused on your education and it is really a case of following the same format as the last section. Work backwards from your most recent course or qualification and keep information to a minimum unless you have something particularly relevant or a very strong grade.

The very last section is a good opportunity to show a different side to yourself and discuss your hobbies outside of work. It’s important to have a social life, and people want to know that you are happy and active away from work, because it means that there is more chance of you being happy and active within work!

Good luck with your Recruiter Resume, and remember to stick to these principles in order to give yourself the best possible chance of success!
