Research And Development TechnicianResearch and development technician completes test procedures and examinations to aid in development of new and existing products. He/she ensures products are tested accurately to the highest standards in regards to component integrity and cost effectiveness. Under the direction of an R&D manager, the technician executes tests and investigations related to products, devices, and new product developments. A graduate from a recognized technical institute with an engineering diploma and/or sufficient experience to perform the required responsibilities can choose career as research and development technician.
Research and development technician is responsible for assembling test fixtures and apparatuses needed to complete testing and completes test procedures. He/she ensures that testing is performed in a logical, accurate, and systematic manner. The research and development technician maintains all research and development equipment and ensures the research and development area is clean and organized.
