A Simple Resume Can Be The Best Option

Many people spend hours and even days creating the perfect resume. The formatting is spot on and there are no errors in it. There can be one problem however; these long drawn out resumes can actually be detrimental even if they are stunning to look at. The reason for this is that they are too extravagant and the information is lost in formatting. Sometimes a simple resume can be the best option for these reasons:

• If you are simply applying for an entry level position and you do not have a great deal of experience and this is expected, then you do not need a long drawn out resume to highlight your skills.
• In some cases you need to submit a resume for an internship while you are attending college for credits. A fancy resume is not needed for this and a simple resume is always the better option.
• A simple resume can also be used when you just want your skills and history to be highlighted without all the bells and whistles. This can make it much easier to sift through the information for the reader.
• Those who are planning on submitting their resume through an online form should never have a resume that is formatted when they are submitting it. The formatting is lost anyway and all the recipient is looking for is the text.

It is not always good to have a resume that is bogged down with formatting and in many cases a simple resume is preferred.
