In addition, I have experience with budgets and accompanying financial reports as well as experience supervising a clerical staff. I always welcome the opportunity to learn new techniques and skills and look forward to a training program at XYZ Airlines if there is a place for me there.

This administrative assistant cover letter example is from an assistant who would like to relocate to a larger city. The applicant, who is willing to work in any department, is looking for a job at a national bank and has 15 years’ experience as an assistant at a community bank.

Attached you will find my resume that I hope you will consider when you have any opening that matches my skill set. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and have worked as an assistant to the Director of the Loans Department at ABC Community Bank in Scranton, Pennsylvania for the past 9 years. Prior to that position I was an assistant to the Director of the Audit Department at ABC for 6 years. My husband and I recently relocated to Philadelphia to be closer to his ailing parents. We have wanted to move to a larger city for some time now as there are better job opportunities available.

I have extensive experience using Macrobank5+, AFT Solutions software and Continuity Engine-Control which I know are important technologies used at XYZ National Bank. I am proficient at putting together customized reports for my superiors detailing loan statistics, and I also have a great deal of experience producing Excel spreadsheets for a wide range of standard reports. In addition, I have considerable experience assisting callers on the phone as well as attending Chamber of Commerce and other events to represent the bank.

It would be my honor and privilege to work for XYZ National Bank as this has always been my dream. I am happy to attend any training classes or other continuing education courses in order to qualify for an assistant position. This administrative assistant cover letter example accompanies a resume for a person applying for a position as an assistant to the Director of Media Relations at a hospital. The applicant recently relocated to a new city after working as an assistant for 12 years at a hospital in another town.

My resume is attached and I am responding to an advertisement in the Florida Times-Union online newspaper for the position of administrative assistant to the Director of Media Relations at XYZ Hospital.
