Dear Ms. Winona Dowdy,
I recently saw an ad regarding a language instructor position with your school Metea Valley High School. Attached is my resume in consideration of this position and for your convenience.
My education includes a bachelor’s degree in education with a minor in languages and I have over six years of experience teaching languages at this level. I am able to prepare and teach language using a syllabus from the most basic to the more advanced levels. This includes concentrating on grammar, translation, reading comprehension and the non standard language use including slang. I would also prepare unit and lesson plans for the language course and ensure that the students are learning at an academic standard pace.
It is important to perform with the academic coach to prepare a productive year long performance arena and all sequences. This includes instructions for student centered and communicative task based second foreign language teaching strategies. The students would receive strong instructions on general topics and routine terminology. I also would instruct the students on regional cultural foreign languages to all students.
I would also teach all aspect of the language including writing, reading, speaking and correct grammar use of assigned language. When necessary, I am also able to offer one on one instruction for those students who have a difficult time with languages to ensure that they are learning on the same level as other students in the class.
