I would like to be considered for the youth officer position at your institution G4S Youth Services and have included my resume with this document for you to look over.

I have an associate’s degree in criminal justice and have worked as a youth officer for many years and feel a devotion to this profession. My skills include the ability to effectively communication with young adults of all ages and ethnicities in a way that does not show disrespect which is important to them. I am also able to maintain the security, order and discipline by preventing disturbances, escapes while ensuring the safety all residents, the onsite staff and the community as a whole. It was one of my tasks to process new residents through a strip search, showering and disinfecting, issuing clothing and orienting the new residents on the rules and regulations of the institution.

I also have great written communication and computer skills which allow me to maintain a legible and understandable log of all behavioral incidents and observations of all residents. This includes being aware of the room assignments of all residents and monitoring the physical location of all residents who are under my watch. When needed, I can evaluate, recommend and implement programs that include the education of residents in living skills, social skills and work and study habits.
