Applications Administrator Responsibilities and Duties

Build and maintain application server compatible with Windows and Linux and report to Applications Architecture Manager.

Coordinate with development teams to identify needs and work with network engineers, system administrators, database administrators to design application server environments.

Provide technical support to web designers and developers to assist in operating server technologies.

Maintain metadata and support document management facility.

Generate reports and database queries using VB script.

Respond to requests received by help desk in timely manner.

Provide regular project status and estimates to the management.

Provide support in Quality Assurance testing and testing of recovery plans.

Provide customer support with Navis applications including resolving issues, preparing cases, update patches, manuals and training materials.

Coordinate with the IT System Administrator Management to resolve issue, manage Navis applications and recommend improvements.

Provide technical support to wireless remote data terminals.

Provide assistance to on-going web pages development.

Support in-house development of spreadsheet programs and database.
