Telephone Operator Cover Letter

Dear Mrs. Perkins,

Please see the attached documents in order to consider me for the position of Telephone Operator at your company. My experience with a busy switchboard and customer service makes me a good match for the duties required for this position. I think you will see that my qualifications would make me a valuable asset at Mandarin Oriental Washington.

As the telephone operator at a busy call center I am well aware of the challenges involved in handling internal and external calls, transferring calls and paging employees. A telephone operator has to be able to multi-task efficiently without communicating the frustration or overwhelming pressure to callers by the tone of their voice. I am adept at managing stress and communicating over the telephone effectively.

My resume is attached, as you read it you will find that I have not only experience as a telephone operator, but am also skilled in several clerical tasks including filing, computer skills and electronic communications.

Now that you can see what a benefit it would be to have me be a part of your company I would appreciate the chance to speak with you and further discuss the position. Because this is a telephone based job it would be my pleasure to take your call at (123)-99-4213 in order to arrange a meeting.
