I am writing in regards to the Associate Dean position with Mount Holyoke College.
I have a PhD in teaching and I have worked as a professor for over ten years with (East Carolina University). I am confident that I have the skills and qualifications needed to fill this position. I have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where things are changing quickly and to make quick decisions when necessary.
I am a very patient person with the ability to oversee and manage the faculty and to make decision about procedures and the academic programs. I can evaluate the way the university is running and make recommendations on how to make improvements. I can assist in creating new more efficient plans, putting these plans into action and providing assistance and training where needed.
I also have experience creating and implementing budget plans and distributing the funds where they are needed most. I have the experience needed to monitor equipment and determine what supplies are needed to keep the university running at full capacity.
I can set up faculty meetings, send out memos to everyone who needs to be present and keep an accurate report of what the meetings entail. I have a great understanding of the school’s curriculum, instructional methods and I can ensure the facility meets the standards required by the state department. I have the ability to prepare schedules and coordinate all vital information with the Dean before putting into effect.
