I am searching for an entry-level position within the Environmental Engineering industry and I received my bachelor’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University.
Some of my courses focused on geology, chemistry, hydrology, sustainable design, natural science, mathematics and mechanics. I also completed an internship to gain field experience that included conducting environmental investigations, performing quality-control checks and monitoring current projects and procedures to determine their effectiveness. My experience also includes studying hazardous waste management and conducting research to find better methods of dealing with this material.
My laboratory experience includes the ability to analyze the data collected to help find solutions for many of the environmental problems facing the world today. I also have excellent writing skills with the ability to create reports detailing the results of all inspections and to write proposals recommending changes where needed. I know and understand the safety procedures required when dealing with hazardous materials along with the laws and regulations required by the local, state and federal government.
I have strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey information effectively in person and in writing. I also have excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
