I am writing to submit to you my application for the position of Research Associate, as advertised on your company web site this week. I am currently employed in the equity research department of a large banking and investment firm. My job is to assist the research analyst in conducting and analyzing data from research, and to develop financial forecasts and make recommendations on specific stocks.

I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration, and I am currently working towards a graduate degree in Management Analysis. I expect to graduate in July 2013.

The work I perform requires excellent accounting, financial modeling and graphing skills. I conduct much of my research with the help of Reuters and Bloomberg news aggregators, and I use applications in the Microsoft Office suite of programs such as Word, Access and Excel, to compile data and create reports.
