I am writing to express my interest in the position of Grocery Manager at The Judge Group.

I have five years of experience working in a grocery store and I am very familiar with the different jobs required to keep the store running smoothly. I began working as a cashier and worked my way up to assistant manager. I now feel that I have the training and experience needed to move into the manager’s position.

Since I began working as a cashier, I am familiar with handling money and the computer systems used in this industry. I also gained experience working directly with the public, so I understand the importance of always providing excellent customer service. I am familiar with the other duties needed to keep operations running smoothly such as stocking, cleaning and retuning merchandise to the proper places. I believe this knowledge and experience will make me a better manager because I understand what is needed for employees to perform their duties proficiently.

My experience also includes doing inventory, ordering groceries and bookkeeping. In addition to my experience, I have an associate degree in business management that focused on retail. I have the skills to handle the schedules for employees and to keep track of payroll. I know what makes a good employee, so I have the ability to conduct interviews and hire new workers. I also have the skills to delegate the workload in a fair and efficient manner.
