Proactive Installation Technician Cover Letter Example

I am interested in the installation technician position that was recently posted by your company BlueWater Technologies. I have attached a copy of my resume for you to look over at your convenience.

Currently I hold an associate’s degree in computer science and I have worked in installation for more than five years. This has allowed me to learn how to evaluate signal quality and review the acceptability delivered through the subsequent installation. I am also capable of installing CCTV, admittance controls and burglar alarm systems. My computer skills are obviously high which allows me to also work with networks, computer and all types of software.

There is more to installation than the initial set up as support is a vital part of the job along with trouble shooting all systems to target and repair any issues. In some cases these tasks need to be performed in conjunction with managing and monitoring installation while staying on target with both the budget and the schedule. Because I always pay attention to the small details, my systems work the first time they are installed unless there is an issue with the equipment itself.

I have great communication skills and understand the need for up selling and updating existing customers with new and technologically advanced equipment. My written skills are also quite high which is necessary when filling out reports or offering technical support through email correspondence.
