Here is the Skilled Marine Mechanic Cover Letter Example:

Dear Ms. Adan,

I was very excited to hear about the open position of Marine Mechanic with Skipper Marine Corp..

I am mechanically inclined and I have a real interest in boats, so I decided to choose a career as a marine mechanic. I have years of experience working on private vessels and I recently completed a postsecondary vocational training course that focused on marine mechanics.

For the past two years, I have worked part-time at a local marine where I gained experience working on larger vessels such as yachts and commercial fishing boats. Unfortunately, they do not have a full time position available, so it is time for me to look for a company where I can utilize my skills and advance my career. I believe this job opening is the position I have been searching for and I know that I can be a great asset to your company.

My experience includes working on both gas and diesel engines and I am very familiar with the tools and equipment used in this industry. I have experience reading blueprints and schematics and I have excellent problem solving skills with the ability to figure out and fix most any engine problem. I also possess critical thinking skills, which are needed when troubleshooting electrical problems that can be very hard to find.

I possess excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with customers and co-workers in a polite and friendly manner. I can also explain technical problems to customers in a way they can understand and provide them with an accurate estimate of what it will cost to fix their engines.
