Here is the Creative Staff Writer Cover Letter Example:

Dear Ms. Bethany Albertson,

I am applying for the position of Staff Writer with NBC News.

I have a degree in Journalism and I have proficient English and writing skills. I understand the importance of not straying off topic and to produce quality work where the information is provided in a clear and concise manner. I have outstanding editing skills with the ability to ensure that no grammatical or spelling errors are present in the finished work.

I am familiar with writing for magazines, newspapers and the Internet. I am a creative writer with the ability to use active voice, headings and eye-catching titles to reach out and grab the reader’s attention to get them interested in the story. I also understand how writing for a website is different from articles or stories that appear in print form.

I possess the skills to research topics in order to learn as much about the subject as possible. Doing this ensures the content I provide is accurate. My researching skills include using sources such as the Internet, public records, police documents and when possible, gathering information directly from the source by interviewing the person or people most familiar with the subject.

When conducting interviews, I know what questions to ask and how to get the most information depending on the person I am interviewing and the nature of the subject. I have the skills to work as part of a team but I am self-motivated and capable of putting together stories independently when necessary.

You can reach me for an interview by calling (555)-555-5555.

Respectfully,

Dorothy Randle
