I am applying for the position of Nurse Case Manager with Banner Health Clinic.
I met all of the requirements to be certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center in order to hold this position and I am qualified to apply for this job. I understand how difficult it can be for patients to communicate with their doctors efficiently and this lack of communication can cause serious problems. I chose this career to help bridge the gap between patients, their health care providers and insurance companies and I take my duties very seriously.
My previous experience working as a health care provider and working directly with patients puts me in a unique position. I know what questions to ask and what is classified as vital information that the attending physician needs to know. This helps to ensure all relevant information is collected and relayed.
I also have the ability to act as liaison between patients and their insurance companies to make sure all procedures are pre-approved. I can also make sure that all forms are submitted and processed so the patient can receive the treatment they need.
I possess very strong written and verbal communication skills and active listening skills. I have the ability to keep organized and manage my time wisely. My computer skills are outstanding and I have excellent administrative skills required to process forms, write reports and to keep accurate records.
I understand that sometimes, the patient may not get the care they need due to the type of coverage they have or when they do not have health coverage. This is a very emotional time for everyone and I have the ability to be sympathetic and supportive during these times.
