After seeing the posting for an Assistant Psychologist with Chelsea Community Hospital, I am writing to express my interest in the position.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and I am currently working on my masters. I have hands on experience working as an intern in which I gained a lot of insight on how to handle patients with psychological disorders. I have seen how delicate these patients can be and I know it takes a gentle hand and lots of patience to administer the care they need.

I have also volunteered with a different facility in which I did psychological evaluations under the direct supervision of the senior psychologist and I have performed consultations to help patients learn how to improve their quality of life.

I have excellent communications skills and the ability to keep excellent records that include progress reports. I can monitor treatment plans and determine when and where changes are in order. I also have excellent management skills in which I can oversee the department and keep the facility running smoothly and efficiently.

I have worked in some very unpredictable situations and aided in dealing with emergency treatment of violent patients, which has taught me how to stay calm and respond professional. I am current on all news, laws and regulations relating to psychology and licensed to work in this field. I am confident that I am the best applicant for this position.
