I am writing to apply for the Customs Agent position with Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd and I am certain that I am a great match for this job.

I have a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and I took foreign language courses to help prepare for this position. I am currently a CBP employee, so I am familiar with the details of this position and I have experience performing search and seizures when there is a potential problem.

I know and understand the laws associated with importing and exporting and I have the ability to work undercover when necessary. I have the ability to conduct investigations that deal with smuggling, customs fraud, money laundering, etc. and to make an arrest if the evidence incriminates the person under investigation.

I possess very strong observation and reasoning skills with the ability to determine when something looks out of place or when something needs a closer look. I have the interpersonal skills needed to hold this position and I have the patience to deal with all types of travelers and to work with the different law enforcement agencies to help keep the borders safe.
