I am applying for the Tourism Manager position with Tourism Cares, Inc.
I have four years of experience working as an assistant manager for a tourism company and a bachelor’s degree in hospitality and tourism. My duties included learning about the history, geography and cultures associated with the different tourist sites in addition to handling all of the paperwork and making travel arrangements.
It also includes answering consumer questions, conducting presentations and keeping track of the consumers using the agency for their travel arrangements by tracking where they visited, the average cost per traveler and when they traveled. I am very resourceful and able to create content and programs that will attract consumer attention and I have experience using the Internet as a media to reach consumers all over the world.
I enjoy meeting new people and can work flexible shifts to accommodate consumer needs. I also have strong organizational and multitasking skills along with the ability to deal with customer issues and emergencies as they arise. My strong analytical, problem solving and excellent communication skills combined with my persuasive nature make me a great match for this job.
I am dependable and self motivated with a good, friendly demeanor and the ability to get along with people from all types of cultures.
