I would like to take this opportunity to apply for the Allied Health Assistant position with Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center. It has been my goal to obtain this position and be a part of an organization that helps so many.

I have worked for two years in a nursing home where I helped care for elderly patients and would like to continue my training of caring for the elderly. I have experience completing pre-registrations forms and admitting patients to the facility along with a number of other clerical and administrative tasks.

I have the ability to work under the direct supervision of a superior, with a team or independently. I have excellent computer skills that include being proficient with Microsoft Office programs. I have cared for incontinent patients and I am experienced at handling all patients in a safe and friendly manner. I know how to treat people in such a way that they feel good about themselves instead of feeling as if they are a burden.

I have assisted in both group physical therapy sessions and individual therapy. I know how to clean and disinfect physiotherapy and other equipment to keep them safe for all patients and I can manage and maintain equipment inventories. I provided extensive care for patients that were both sick and/or disabled and I am sure that I can do the same for patients in their own homes.

I have recently acquired my Associate Degree in Allied Health and look forward to being a part of such a wonderful organization that cares so much for others.
