Dear Ms. Michelle Lewis,
I am searching for an apprentice position within the Construction industry with a company that offers advancement opportunities.
I graduated from Lomax Construction and majored in physics, welding and shop to help prepare me for the construction business. I am computer literate, speak two languages fluently and have the skills to read and follow blueprints precisely. My strong communication skills include having the ability to follow both verbal and written instructions and I have strong leadership abilities.
It is my goal to work into a supervisory position but I have the knowledge and physical ability to start as part of the construction crew while proving myself a valuable asset to your company. I own and have the ability to use a variety of hand tools properly including power tools. I also know how to read a ruler and level correctly and have the ability to learn how to operate the machinery efficiently.
Working in bad weather, tight places and with heights is not a problem for me and I have the ability to work long hours and weekends when needed to help complete the jobs by the deadlines. I am familiar with the different types of building materials and know how to mix and pour cement correctly.
I have the physically qualities needed to perform the duties required in this profession that includes good hand-eye coordination, maintaining good balance and depth perception. My outgoing personality and positive attitude will also help me to go far in this industry.
