Briefly, I began working in the culinary industry ten years ago when I worked part time while in high school, working for a local restaurant chain. It was here that I was introduced to my love for food and creating unique and tasty menus. I then went on to study formally at Italian Culinary Academy. Once graduated, I went on to work at The Red Door, where I presently retain role as Head Cook. My responsibilities are the entire maintenance of the kitchen: a staff of over 10 cooks, menu planning, negotiation with wine/dessert/supply representatives, replenishment, and organization. It is a challenging environment that requires stellar leadership and communication skills, as well as an ability to think quickly on your feet. I have all this.
