I am writing to express my interest in the position of Customer Retention Specialist with Fleetcor,LLC.
I worked at a call center for over a year where it was my job to reach out to consumers to get them interested in certain products and to make a sell or at least get the person interested in what the company had to offer. During this time, I learned how to deal with rejection graciously and even learned to smile and move on when faced with irate consumers and verbal abuse. I learned to never take things personally and to stay focused on the assigned task.
I have the skills and abilities to find ways to convince a customer to continue using your services once they have decided to close their account. I have the patience to listen to why the customer is no longer interested in the services and the ability to use this information to try to turn the situation around.
If the customer is unhappy with the service provided, I can find out why and look for ways to resolve the problem. I can then persuade the customer to give it one more try by offering them a discount or extra services to try for free for a limited time, whatever is allowed by your company.
